The Mariners’ offense is ranked 25th, with a team batting average of .236 and an OPS of .716. J.P. Crawford leads the team with a .266 batting average and an OBP of .379. Cal Raleigh has smacked a team-high 20 home runs, and Eugenio Suarez has collected 73 RBIs.

Logan Gilbert will toe the slab for game one. He is 10-5 with an ERA of 3.66 and 138 strikeouts. Gilbert has pitched 137.2 innings in 23 games and carries a WHIP of 1.02. Seattle’s bullpen is ranked first, with a team ERA of 3.68 and 31 saves. They have given up 429 earned runs, struck out 1,074 batters, and carries a WHIP of 1.16.

Kansas City has a record of 38-81 and is currently last in the AL Central standings. They are 4-6 in their previous ten games and are 23.5 behind the Twins for first. The Royals have a team batting average of .241, an OPS of .691, and their offense ranks 19th in the league. Bobby Witt Jr. leads the team in every batting category. He has a batting average of .272, an OBP of .313, and has collected 128 hits. He has blasted 21 home runs and drove in 71 RBIs.

Brady Singer (8-8) will take the bump in this one. He has an ERA of 5.05 and struck out 108 batters this season. Singer has played 23 games, pitched 128.1 innings, and has a WHIP of 1.37. Mariners vs. Royals Betting Trends

Seattle is 59-58 ATS this season, while KC is 52-66 ATS. The Mariners have a 54% to win outright, while the Royals enter with a 60% chance to cover the +1.5 run line. The under in this one has a 56% chance of hitting. In 12 of their last 13 games, over 7.5 runs have been scored when KC has played Seattle at home. The Royals are 30-59 when favored by +122 or worse this year. The Mariners have won 56% of the games they’ve played as the favorite.

Mariners vs. Royals Game Prediction

The Mariners have been playing well, but their offense has sputtered. Their pitching is phenomenal, and I see Gilbert obliterating this weak Royals lineup. Seattle has scored over 4.5 runs in 6 of their last 7 games against KC, and I see that trend continuing today. Give the Mariners to win this one and cover the run line. Look for Singer to struggle against a lineup that has been humming lately.
